Applications
The SLCFH arc-protection clamp is a novel design, primarily installed on the load side of line insulators. It prevents 10-20kV overhead conductors from breaking due to lightning strikes. Easy to install and reliable, it provides power companies with an effective, low-cost, high-performance solution. The SLCFH-50/240B, non-piercing arc-protection clamp is available, depending on user needs. The SLCFH-500/240A is available as a piercing type.

Structural Features
1. It consists primarily of an insulating shield, a compression nut, a piercing clamp, a wire clamp base, an arc starter, and an insulating sleeve.
2. The arc starter and wire clamp base are assembled and connected as a single unit. When a lightning strike occurs, discharge occurs between the arc starter and the metal parts of the insulator (or crossarm), causing the follow-flowing power-frequency arc to migrate to the arc starter and burn, thereby protecting the insulated conductor from damage.
3. The SLCFH-50/240 piercing arc-proof wire clamp features a piercing tines structure, making installation easy. It eliminates the need to strip the insulation layer of the insulated conductor, prevents water ingress and corrosion, and reduces operator workload.
4. It can withstand approximately five high-current power-frequency arc burns.
