Application of wire clamp
A wedge-type wire clamp consists of a C-shaped wedge shell and a wedge block (as shown in the figure below). The size of the groove formed between the C-shaped wedge shell and the wedge block is directly related to the diameter of the conductor to be installed. The groove size and shape are determined by the designer and manufacturer. Therefore, when selecting a wedge-type wire clamp, the user only needs to provide the model and cross-sectional dimensions of the main conductor and branch conductor. Figure 1. Wedge-type cable clamp housings come in four sizes: 1, 2, 3, and 4. Installation tools are selected based on the size of the clamp housing. For clamps with size 1 and 2 housings, use a small installation tool; for clamps with size 3 and 4 housings, use a large installation tool.
